Reverend Dr. Willie J. Lawson Sr.

Reverend Dr. W. J. Lawson is a native of Tifton, Georgia. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Lawson, Reverend Lawson is married to the former Patricia A. Ross, and they are the proud parents of three children, grandparents of eight, and the greatgrandparents of one.
    He is an active member of many local, state and national organizations. Reverend Lawson presently serves as President of the Fifth District and teaches in the GMBC Congress of Christian Education. He also serves as chaplain for Fulton County Sheriff Department and Marta Police. Dr. Lawson is a presidential candidate for the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia.
Pastor Lawson is Founding Pastor of Cornerstone Community Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia. Under his leadership, the church has grown spiritually and numerically.
